THIS WEEK

Our preps, 1s and 2s focused on the 2 handed strike.  We used tees, racquets, softball and cricket bats to whack the cover of a number of different sized balls as hard as we could.

Our bigger students celebrated the end of the skipping program with a day of fun ball sports.  Primary school classics such as poison ball and dodge ball were given a modern makeover and teams had to work together to learn rules and strategies fast.

DISTRICT ATHLETICS - Friday 2nd September

Congratulations to those selected to represent St Louis at the Chelsea District Athletics Day.  They will be travelling to Duncan McKinnon Reserve in track and field events from the 1500 m to the shot put.  Our team was selected from the results from our own athletics day held last term and a few trials at school.  The triple jump was held at lunch times and was well assisted by our Spirit Leaders.  Jumpers not only had to concentrate of the complexities of the hop, step and jump but had to dodge stray, quick moving preppies on the runway.

STATE GIRL'S T-BALL - Wednesday 7th September

The girls are in training to be at their best for the Victorian State Finals.  They are getting plenty of support from parents and teachers (and youtube) as they improve and hone in on their techniques and skills.   It will be a huge challenge as the girls will be competing against schools from Shepparton, Gippsland and other parts of the state.

DIVISION CRICKET

Our girls and boys teams will be playing in early term 4 after winning their district finals back in term 1.  Dates and venues are to be announced.
