Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Catholic Church celebrates today the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary on its traditional fixed date of September 8, nine months after the December 8 celebration of her Immaculate Conception as the child of Saints Joachim and Anne.

The circumstances of the Virgin Mary's infancy and early life are not directly recorded in the Bible, but other documents and traditions describing the circumstances of her birth are cited by some of the earliest Christian writers from the first centuries of the Church.

Prayer

O Virgin Immaculate, thou who by a singular privilege of grace wast preserved from original sin, look in pity upon our separated brethren, who are nevertheless thy children, and call them back to the centre of unity.

First Holy Communion

Please keep those students from Year Three, Year Four and Year Five who are making their First Holy Communion over the coming weeks. This is an important step on their faith journey.

Family Masses

This year we will be inviting grades to be a part of Family Masses. These Masses will enable our families to make connections with the parishioners at Our Lady of Fatima. Here are the mass dates over the year,

Year 2 - Parish Mass - Saturday 22 October 5:30pm

Year 5 - Family Mass Introducing Kindergarten 2023 - 26th November 5:30pm

We hope to see you there!
