What's been on at the Springs
The Springs was visited by a multitude of book characters in celebration of this year's Book Week. It was fantastic to see everyone get into the spirit of things with their wonderful costumes.
We had an amazing day at the Division Athletics championships. All students have done a great job competing. We have 7 students through to the Regional championships next term.
Well done: Max 1st 1500m; Ashton 1st 80m hurdles; Isabelle 2nd girls long jump & our girls 4x100m relay team beaten by a whisker, finishing 2nd - also through.
Special mention to Akbar 4th discus; Brielle 3rd in 100m and 4th in 200m; and Shayla unplaced in the discus.
Go Springers!!
In the very final week of this term, our Year 5 students headed off to Camp Toolangi in the Yarra Valley for a 3-day, 2-night stay. Year 5 students and attending staff, despite the cooler weather, tackled all the activities and challenges with a smile on their faces and an excellent display of teamwork. They arrived back at school on Wednesday looking tired but happy. It has been fantastic to see our students enjoy and benefit from this camping experience. Staff from the camp reported that our school was a pleasure to host.
As tradition dictates, our end of Term Footy Day celebrations was a fantastic way of moving into the term break. It was great to be able to celebrate it together as one again.
