State Hockey

Congratulations to all students involved in competing at the Senior Boys/Mixed State Hockey Finals recently. Our combined team of students from Years 7-11 from both Edenhope and Balmoral competed against teams consisting mainly of Year 11 & 12 students from around the state. The finals consisted of two pools, our students fought hard in their first game against Melbourne High School which resulted in a draw, with both teams scoring a goal. The team won their second game against Princes Hill Secondary College 4-1. To proceed further along in the competition the third game was the one to win, despite their best efforts, it proved too difficult, with a 0-2 end result. 

The team should be incredibly proud of their efforts not only in getting to compete at that level but for finishing third in their pool. They are all the more determined for next year! Huge thanks to Keiren for organising the team, as well as coaching and supporting them to compete at such a high level. A fantastic effort by all players!

Kowree F-6 Sports Day

A fabulous day was held by the combined schools F-6 classes last week. Schools from Balmoral, St Malachy's, Goroke, Apsley and Edenhope held their Kowree Sports Day which was very successful. Congratulations to Balmoral K-12 Community College and sincere thanks to all schools who took part in the day.

2nd: Apsley (103 pts)

3rd: St Malachy’s (100 pts)

4th: Goroke P-12 (96 pts)

5th: Edenhope College (80 pts)
