Xmas Boxes for overseas

It's that time of the year again when I ask people to consider packing a Christmas box for under privileged children.  It is a very worthwhile activity to do with your children, to help them appreciate just how lucky we are in Australia compared to some countries not far from us.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities. They ship these simple gifts to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

The boxes can be picked up from school or can be sent home on request, with a child.  A list of ideas on what can be packed can be found on their website - https://occ.samaritanspurse.org.au/

Once again, there is a $10 fee for postage also.

Samaritans Purse is an amazing organisation, I noticed earlier in the year they were on TV in Ukraine, handing our school supplies and clothing.

Please contact Tammy or myself for boxes.  Boxes are to be returned to school by the first week of Term 4.

Thank you
