MILO in2CRICKET
Last Thursday, we had two members from MILO in2CRICKET visit LNPS to expose all students from Rowell and Mellor to the program. MILO in2CRICKET is Australia’s entry level program that teaches children the basic skills of cricket in an environment that is fun, safe and most importantly promotes a healthy lifestyle where children develop social skills and make new friends. Our students rotated through four stations to practice their bowling, batting, catching and fielding skills. The session was a great way for students to get a taste of cricket, while being active and having fun with their peers. Students received a Milo sachet to enjoy at home for their enthusiastic involvement. A note was also given out including details on how to join up to the MILO in2CRICKET development program.
LNPS School Cricket
Please ensure registration forms for Term 4 are returned as soon as possible. We need registrations in to ensure that we have enough players to nominate our teams for the SACA match draw.
If you played school cricket during Term 1 and are returning for Term 4, or simply wish to join now, please complete the attached Registration Form and return it to the Cricket Coordinators directly via email or via the front office by no later than Friday 19 September. New players will be invoiced by the school following registration.
School cricket is played with modified rules and equipment. C Grade and Kanga Teams use a softer ball and all equipment is supplied by the school.
Assistance is definitely required with extra ‘hands’ needed to help with practice / training, game scoring, umpiring and general support for our young players.
Training: Cricket training commences Thursday 25 September at 3.30pm.
Grades:
A Grade: Year 6/7
B Grade: Year 5/6
