Did you know that on the return to boarding after a Closed Weekend or School Holidays Chef Nick and his team prepare spaghetti bolognaise? What a great way to start the week. This week we asked some students what their favourite meal is and these were there responses.

• A very good pasta dish
• Steak and chips 
• Salmon and salad
• Chicken parmigiana, chips and salad
• Pizza
• Curry with naan or roti 
• Chicken Caeser salad 
• Steak and pasta
• Caesar salad
• Taco's
• Lasagna
• Chocolate pudding with ice cream
• Kebabs
• Carbonara

On Thursday nights Middle School boarders continue to sit with someone they may not usually sit with and last week we discussed a topic of conversation. Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to say to people you don’t spend a lot of time with so we suggested talking about Closed Weekend plans or our pets. We feel pleased with the way these dinners are progressing.

Returning on Sunday night, Anchorage will have dinner in Eclipse House and Endeavour House boarders will go to Breaksea to enjoy a shared dinner. Next term when the weather warms up we will return to all boarding dinners on Sunday night outside the dining hall. These evenings together were postponed due to COVID regulations and we are pleased they are back.

Chef Nick made burgers in the day school for the boarders to collect hot and fresh from the BBQ this week in place of going to the dining hall for lunch.   Our boarders enjoyed this as it was a change to the normal routine and who doesn't like a burger... even Mr Scott snuck into line.
