Recreation

Compulsory Recreation is here. With the weather warming up I am once again insisting on the Endeavour boarders going on at least one recreation activity per week. It isn’t healthy for our teens to sit around all weekend in the house so we strongly encourage them to go out on recreation.

A visit to the Strawberry Farm for a drink or snack was also on the schedule on the weekend. Miss Ball was in charge of this one and you can see they enjoyed it from the happy faces in the photos. Ms Holder also recently took the girls to Nanarup Beach for a beach walk, it was a glorious day and they enjoyed the fresh air and exercise. Dome was also enjoyed for recreation on a previous weekend with Mrs Freeman in charge of this one as you can tell by the selfie.

Tie dying was also enjoyed recently for a recreation activity with Ms Holder. Many boarders enjoyed this and they are now all looking very bright and colourful.

Spike ball is the flavour of the month between Endeavour and Anchorage. It is basically volleyball on a little round bouncy net. Hours of fun at any time of the day or night and great to see them out in the fresh air.

The Middle School Social was held on Wednesday this week, this is always a much awaited event on the calendar. Many of our Endeavour boarders enjoyed the evening.

Birthdays

This month we have celebrated the birthdays of Matilda Norrish, Amy Williams, Emma Dolan and Mariella Somerscales. Happy birthday also to Mrs Freeman, our resident talented cake baker Amy Medway and a few helpers made Mrs Freeman a cake to celebrate the occasion, and everyone made a fuss of her. We encourage our boarders to show gratitude and appreciation and this was a great way of doing so.
