Early Years Media Arts

Terms 3 and 4 will see Early Years embarking on Media Arts studies.  Media Arts encompasses everything from comics, animations, movies, podcasts, magazines, photo stories, gaming and websites. The subject looks at using images, sounds and text to tell stories.

Preps just had so much fun learning about the Media Arts element of lighting.  Here we were learning that if the light is behind us, a shadow is created! We started by using torches as our light source and then ventured outside to use the sun!  We were challenged to create a shadow and then to take a photo of just the shadow.

Students then learnt how to use the mark up function on our iPads to turn our photos of shadows into characters!  Students added horns for unicorns and capes for superheros!
