"Synchronicity" - A Night of Dance

On the night of Wednesday 3 August Cowra High School Dance students showcased their exceptional talent and the Cowra Civic Centre was abuzz with excitement. Students have been working extremely hard all year to produce ‘Synchronicity’ and it certainly was worth the wait. From Musical Theatre to Abstract Contemporary dance, we saw it all.

Congratulations to all dancers on a fabulous performance and to the crew, Year 11 Drama, for the brilliant lighting, sound and backstage direction. As I said on the night, this cannot happen without the assistance of many people.

Thank you to Cowra P&C  - your generosity is greatly appreciated and all tickets sales from the night will go toward our combined dancers for this year’s Schools Spectacular. Thanks also to Lucy Vaughan, Melinda Rowston and Year 11 Drama, Rachel McKenzie, Charlotte Cooper and Imajen James, Douglas Hughes and Cathy Ellis, the publicity team at CHS, Prue Williams, Kerrie Smith and Rachel Elwin, Bernie Finlay for Videography, Marc McLeish and the Cowra Civic Centre.

To all parents and families of our dancers – thank you, thank you, thank you. Your continued support is amazing and much appreciated.

To Charles Gauci and the entire Cowra High staff thank you for your continued support.

And finally to our dancers, I can’t thank you enough.

Congratulations to Penny Watt, winner of the Wood Raffle donated by Michael and Melissa Thompson.

'The Twits'

Last week Stage 5 Drama performed the play ‘The Twits’ to rave reviews. Based upon the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, the play was sure to be a hit with both young and old.  The class performed three matinees for Stage 3 students from Mulyan & Cowra Public schools, as well as hosting Holmwood Public School.  Two evening shows followed, with Friday night a near sell-out crowd.  It was a fabulous experience for everyone and one we look forward to repeating in the future.   A big thank you to everyone who helped get the show on the stage.
