Athletics Clinic:

Prep - Year 2

For the past 4 weeks in their Friday sport class, our Prep - Year 2 students have been fortunate to participate in a 4 week athletics clinic, taught by a professional athlete and coach, Melissa, from Athletics Victoria.

Melissa taught the students how to run, jump and throw with correct technique and using a range of fun athletics games and activities, reinforcing the skills taught in PE.

It was great to see the children having fun and improving these very important skills that transfer to many other sports and activities they will do.

I encourage parents to ask your child to show you some of the things they learnt during the athletics clinic.

T20 Cricket Regional Finals - Year 5/6 Girls

Congratulations to our Year 5/6 Girls Cricket team who had a fantastic day on Wednesday, participating in the Regional T20 Cricket day.

The competition was very strong and the girls batted, bowled and fielded extremely well.  They won 3 of their 4 games and overall finished in 3rd place.  A fantastic effort by our talented cricket team!

Most importantly, the girls displayed outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day, they encouraged and supported each other and congratulated the other teams on their efforts.

Many thanks to Lucas Johnson and Anthony Hudson for scoring, coaching and supporting the girls.
