A Fortnight in Review
Well done to the Reception class for taking out the Uniform Award, and for Jonathan Green in receiving the RISE award for excellence in the classroom, during assembly.
Below is a list of the wonderful events the students, staff and Tyndale community have been involved in this term:
- Pedal Prix
- Deadly Australians
- Grandparent’s Day
- Mother’s Day Breakfast and stall
- Class excursions
- Barn Dance
- Representative Athletics and Cross Country
- School photos
Next term is camp term. The Year 5 and 6 classes head to Wirraway for two nights while the Year 3 and 4 classes travel to El Shaddai for an overnight stay. We will also be having a ‘late night’ organised for the Year 1 students and a school sleep over for the Year 2’s; all very exciting! Other events include Father’s Day breakfast, SACSA soccer and various class excursions.
We have enjoyed regular updates from the Kenya team throughout the week. They have been working hard, as well as taking in the sights; the safari was a particular hit.
I would like to thank Mrs Jude Crowe for filling in for Mrs Therese Atkinson this term while on leave. Mrs Crowe has been a wonderful addition to the team. We pray for an exciting new chapter for her and her family.
Finally, I will be on leave during the first two weeks of Term 3. Leah and I will be spending time together with our new arrival. In my absence, Mrs Emma Jones will be acting Deputy.
Take care and enjoy the holidays.

Road Safety Fun
Last Tuesday the Reception/Year 1 and the Year 1 class went to the Road Safety Centre. There they met Jeff the Dog and Officer Grant and learnt about road safety. Students then chose a bike or tricycle and rode around the practice track.

Buddy Class Action
Throughout the year, the Year 1 and Year 8 Gold classes have joined together to complete many fun activities. To finish the term, students visited the library together and spent time reading books to each other. It has been great seeing them help each other and develop new friendships across the school.
Primary Music with Year 2s
The year 2 students have been learning about the musical staff and some of the notes found in it in a practical manner.
