Three Special Events to Celebrate
1. Special “High Tea” for Senior Citizen visitors
Under the encouragement and expert eyes of Mrs Janine Henderson and Mrs Gail Megaritis the Year 9/10 Food and Hospitality class prepared and presented a magnificent morning tea to a most appreciative group of visitors.
Our guests were entertained by a group of music students who, accompanied by their teacher, Mr Ian Colley, performed many songs from musicals and some very popular favourite hymns.
Special thanks to our staff and wonderful students for blessing our visitors so beautifully.
2. Bush Dance
On Friday night we were treated to another exciting, fun-filled evening of pet animals and toe-tapping music from the Bush Band. Huge thanks to Mrs Anne Bryant who created the atmosphere with her brilliantly beautiful dance setting of poles, suspended flags and 101 hay bales. BBQ and salads and the amazing crepes (courtesy of Mr & Mrs Oosthuizen) were also features of the night.
Special thanks to the whole team for their tireless efforts to present another magnificent family night of fun and entertainment.
Once again we give our grateful thanks to Mr Peter Wilson, a Tyndale grandparent, for his kind loan of magnificent hay bales that created the “bush” atmosphere so effectively. Many thanks, too, to old scholar James Leigh for providing the hay-covered railway trolley and to Mr Bruce Cameron and Mr John Newell for transporting the bales to and from the School. And special thanks go to those enthusiastic students who helped to move the bales before and after the event.
3. Kenya Trip
We are very proud of our School’s commitment to the beautiful children in the orphanage in Kenya. This week we have been receiving updates from Mr Potter and are delighted that our students Montana How and Taryn Connor, and teacher Mrs Kylie Grivell, are all journeying well. It will be wonderful to hear about their experiences on their return.
After an eventful term of studies and extra-curricula excitement we look forward to a refreshing holiday for everyone. We wish our senior students well as they work towards the conclusion of their SACE commitments and prepare for final exams in Term 4.
We are extremely grateful to our parents for their commitment to their children’s education and providing those life-long memories and friendships that school life brings.
Blessings,
