Big Day Out

Our children thoroughly enjoyed their Big Day Out yesterday. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate as the three Catholic schools of Kingsville, Yarraville and Brooklyn to highlight Catholic Education Week.

Mass was lovely and our children conducted themselves in their usual respectful, reverent manner. Our Year Preps were ably assisted by their buddies (who take their job very seriously) throughout day.

Once at The Sun Theatre everyone was able to relax and enjoy their movie while feasting on pop corn. I was lucky enough to be able to 'enjoy' Paddington 2 with all our beautiful Prep children (in fact every Prep child of Corpus Christi, Annunciation and St Augustine's) and I must say how proud I was of the way our Prep children have settled into our routines and structures and set the example for others. Hope you all had fun!

Email and Contact Details

With most school communications now electronic it is imperative that family details including email addresses are kept up to date by families. Too often we are assisting with the recovery of CaeMonkey accounts and the like due to changes in email addresses.

This is easily avoided by simple updating your CareMonkey profile with the new email address prior to discontinuing the old one. We will be automatically notified of these changes and can then update our business systems to reflect the changes. In fact we get automatic notifications of any update you make to your CareMonkey profile.

Making sure your details are always up to date allows you to receive necessary communications. If you are not receiving Newsletters, Fee/Levy accounts and CareMonkey requests you need to check your email details now.

Cross Country

Well done to all children in our Cross Country Team who competed admirably in the Footscray District Cross Country Championships last Friday. Congratulations to: Kadin Miller, Emma Tran, Xavier Healey, Jett Thomas and Armani Mauriohooho, who have qualified for the Divisional Championships to be held in June.

Casual Clothes Day

Next Friday 23rd March, children are invited to wear casual clothes to school in return for an Easter egg donation on the day. These Easter egg donations will then be packaged as prizes for our annual Easter Raffle which is drawn after our Holy Week celebrations (see Education in Faith Page) on the last day of Term 1. Please drop the Easter Eggs into the hall on your way into school. Be careful with your eggs as it is also Ride2School Day.

Easter Raffle

This week children will bring home a small book of raffle tickets for our Annual Easter Raffle. Tickets are $1.00 each. Please return raffle money to the office by Wednesday 28th March. We are also looking for donations of cane baskets to package our Easter egg prizes. These can be donated at any time and handed in at the school office.

Easter Egg Wrapping

We will be holding an Easter Egg wrapping morning (to wrap all our raffle prizes) on Monday 26th March, straight after Assembly) in the hall from 9:00am. If you are able to help, please click here to reply: info@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au

Time Table Changes

Over the next few weeks, teachers will be given the opportunity to plan extensively for Term 2. To adequately facilitate this there will be timetable changes. See the amended timetables below.

Dress: Full Summer School Uniform

Hair: Neat and swept off face. Long hair tied back. Hair accessories are to be discrete and only blue or white.

Online Orders: To pre-order online, take your Personal Order and ID Numbers found on your order form and go to www.schoolpix.com.au. Orders can be placed online up to 2 working days after photography. You do not need to return the order form if you order online.

Remember: All orders placed online before midnight on photography day will receive a free 20cm x 25cm black and white portrait print.

Manual Orders: Complete your order form and return with payment to school on photography day, 19th March.

Sibling Orders: For a special photo of your children together order online by 8:00am on photography day.

Alternatively collect a Sibling Order Form from the office or download it from the SchoolPix website and return it on photography day. Only siblings that place an order will be photographed.

A reminder that our Learning Conferences for Years 1 - 6 have been scheduled for Wednesday 28th March: 2:00pm - 8:00pm

Book Club

A reminder that Book Club orders are due at the school office by 4:00pm today, Thursday 15th March.
