CHPS Student Leadership

Dear CHPS families,

In an effort to provide our students with opportunities to practice authentic leadership and give them voice and agency within our community, student leadership at CHPS will look different this year.

After consulting students last year, we have decided to trial a leadership program which will allow our upper students to become actively involved in leading the school community, working with younger students on projects and activities around the school. As such, JSC will not be running this year and will be replaced with a more focused grade 6 leadership team who can involve younger students interested in working together on specific activities and projects.

By the end of term 1, CHPS will have 4 School Captains and a group of digital leaders who will head teams working on various initiatives around the school. By next year, we are hoping to have more captaincy roles available for students interested in leading in areas such as sport, the arts and social service.
