War Against Waste

Excursion to CERES

During Week 4 of Term 2, the Year 2 classes visited CERES and took part in learning sessions to continue  classroom learning in the War Against Waste Integrated unit of Inquiry.

Education lies at the heart of CERES, which has grown from its humble beginnings into one of the largest sustainability education providers in Victoria.

Given our inner-city location and proximity to this rich ground  for learning about Recycling, Renewable Energy, Composting, Sustainable Gardening and our Impact on the Planet, the knowledge gained from the children, teachers and parent helpers was extremely valuable.

Students enjoyed a variety of activities selected to complement their classroom inquiry.

Water Savers Games

Paper Making

Worms & Minibeasts

Bin Sorting Games
