CLAY TARGET CLUB

Melbourne Gun Club Competition.

First Competition!

The Clay Target Club is again popular this year!  It is very pleasing to see that there has been much interest from the new students in Year 7.

Several of the new students, who have actually not even shot a gun previously have shown some emerging talent and if they continue with the activity.  We are hopeful that they will represent the school well in up coming interschool competitions.

With the aid of sponsorship from Melbourne Gun Club, Knoxfield Automotive Services, Melbourne Cleaning Services, Beetle Branding, FXD Creative and Lilydale High School we have been able to institute a monthly school competition.  This is run as a handicap event which should mean that novice shooters should be able to compete on a level playing field with the experienced shooters from previous years.

Our first event was held at Melbourne Gun Club.  We had 15 students compete and the eventual winner was one of our new shooters.  Congratulations go to Michael Skinner on his fine winning performance on the night.

Michael is shown in the photo, holding his first prize trophy and wearing a big smile.
