CURRICULUM

Year 12 students

With the end of Year 12 on the horizon, revision classes will again be held throughout the September holidays to support our students as they revise for the upcoming exams. Practice exams are scheduled and Master classes offered to assist our students to achieve their best.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the help and advice extended to them.  Revision classes will be timetabled and students are advised to timetable their own revision around these.

Students will also be given revision tasks and exams to complete at home over the holidays.

Whilst we appreciate students need to take a break and find some time to relax, it is expected that they will spend much of the time preparing for the upcoming exams.

The first written exam, the English exam takes place on Wednesday 1 November.  The practical components of many Arts subjects begin before this date.

We wish our students well as they begin this most important part of their journey.

Parents are asked to encourage their children to remain abreast of all revision tasks; to attend their revision lectures and access their teachers for assistance over the next few weeks as they head into the examination period.

Finally, we remind our students to ‘Do something today that their future self will thank them for.’

Years 7 to 10

Students have been completing Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) over the past few weeks in many of their subjects.

Students and parents are reminded to keep an eye on Compass as the results of these assessment tasks, as well as comments on how they approached these tasks, their skill level and areas for improvement will be available on line, shortly.

It is important that students work to the best of their ability in all areas of their studies, including all required work leading up to the CAT, in order to ensure they receive a satisfactory result at the end of the semester.
