STEAMWORKS

The Plague finders hard at work.

What's been happening!

The second ever term in the life of Steamworks has been packed full of creativity, problem solving and collaboration.

The room has been solidly booked for the last three weeks by Science, Math, Humanities, Wellbeing and English classes.

Mr Weavell ran his pilot Black Plague activity with his Humanities class to rave reviews. Students were put in control of a medieval town and had to find out where the plague was originating before all the townsfolk were infected.

The Steam team have started working on designing and 3D printing a streamlined toolbox for Mr Philips' triathlon bike.

Special thanks to Mr Grantham and his students for building an epic bench seat for the VR Room.

Legendary!

We are also entering teams into the 'Everybody Dance Nao' robot dance programming competition.

Teams of three students work together to program a 45 second dance routine for a Nao robot.  Winning teams go on to have their robot dance off at Scienceworks in November.

We can register only three teams so first in, best dressed!

There is never a dull moment at Steamworks!   So come along and check it out, most lunchtimes.
