Victorian Parliament

The Victorian Parliament is on the road, and bought its education program to Shepparton this week!

Our three classes of VCE Legal Studies students got to experience what it’s like to be in parliament, through a role play helping them understand parliamentary processes.

The Parklake Hotel was transformed into the Legislative Assembly for a day and students got the chance to role play the job of ministers as they debated the progress of the Dangerous Dog’s Bill through Parliament.

Students also had a surprise visit from our local member Suzanna Sheed MP.  Suzanna shared her passion for causes specific to the Shepparton area, and explained a little about her role in Parliament. 

A very valuable day for all students!
