Australasian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiad

Year 5 classes and 17 students selected from Years 6 and 7 and the Accelerated Year 8 class took part in this problem-solving competition which consists of five competitions during Terms 2 and 3. Each competition consisted of five questions with a 25 minute time limit.

 

This year in the Senior (Year 8) division, Jaimin Lim was the top student, in The Junior Division Will Barrett was the top student with Nicholas Cacayorin and Alex Le close behind.

In the Maths Games for Year 5 students Matthew Jones easily ranked top student and was placed in the top 10% across Australasia, an outstanding effort.
