YEAR 8
Werribee Zoo
This week, our Year 8 students ventured off to Werribee Zoo to conduct their Geography fieldwork.
As part of the Zoo’s commitment to fighting extinction, students enjoy a guided tour into the world of the highly endangered Eastern Barred Bandicoot (EBB). Sadly, due to loss of habitat and introduced species, the EBB is currently extinct in the wild.
When asked what the best part of their day was, most students highlighted the Safari Bus tour and the variety of animals they were able to get up close and personal to. Giraffes, zebras, white rhino and even camels. Overall, it was an amazing day!
