NETBALL

The netball season is coming to an end with the last round of games to be played on Saturday. The 11/12 years competition will have finals, so after Saturday, if your team is in the top 4, you will have to play semi-finals. Good luck to our teams!

The 10-year-old competition (Year 4) do not play finals, but they do keep a note of the ladder. Your last game is on Saturday. For Years 3, 2 and skills players, your last game/skills session is also on Saturday.

Please ensure that you thank your coaches as they give up so much of their time. Thank you to all of the supportive parents who always encourage their players.

St Nicholas Netball Club 2019 AGM will be held at the Southgate Inn on 18th September 2019 @6pm.

An item to be discussed will be our presentation afternoon.

SWIMMING REGISTRATION DAY

CODE OF CONDUCT

Those parents who have very kindly volunteered to coach a team are to be listened to and all instructions to be followed by players both at training and when competing. Should you have an issue with your child's coach please speak to them privately without your children being present. Show respect for your coaches and their decisions.

Parents should not interfere or enter the playing field during a game as the on field officials should be left to adjudicate. If parents have concerns they should approach the coach at a break and not the children.

Should a player, coach or parent not respect this code of conduct while representing St Nicholas it may prevent their inclusion in teams in the future as this is not the image that we wish to portray in the wider community.

IMPORTANT SPORTING DATES FOR 2019

I am aware that many of you are keen to know when sporting events are on, so this is a list of some of the locked in dates for 2019. Please be aware that some of these dates (especially Diocesan ones) may change.

TERM 4

Friday 18th October - Polding Athletics Carnival

Wednesday 6th / Thursday 7th - NSW PSSA Athletics Carnival - SOPAC

Friday 29th November - Diocesan Summer Trials - Gunnedah (Cricket, Tennis, Softball, Basketball)

TOUCH FOOTBALL

Students from Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 joined the competition on Monday.

40 students in this age range had a terrific afternoon as the St Nicholas teams versed each other. Luckily Mrs McGuirk brought coloured sashes to differentiate the teams. The referees were very appreciative. Thank you to the parents and Sam Sawyer (older brother) for stepping in and assisting with coaching roles and subbing on the sidelines. It's essential your children see you involved where and whenever possible.

Outstanding fees should be paid to Mrs McGuirk tomorrow please.
