WELCOME BACK

Another busy year ahead for the Thistlelonians, as we prepare for several special occasions when former students and staff of McKinnon High/Secondary College return to their school and catch up with old friends.

UPCOMING CELEBRATIONS

Sunday 3 May

A special celebration when Principal Mrs Pitsa Binnion invites the class of 1970 back to honour their 50th Anniversary of graduating from McKinnon. An afternoon tea followed by a tour of the school will reignite old memories.

Saturday 24 October

Grand Reunion

The classes of 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2015- (their first reunion) will gather in the hall, take a tour of the school and catch up with old school mates and former teachers.

Invitations to these events are sent via email/SMS. We are missing many contact details, so if you know anyone likely to be an ex student who hasn’t updated their current contact information, this can be done via our website.

STUDENT AWARDS

For more than 20 years, the Thistlelonians have been providing special awards to outstanding Year 9 students selected by their Student Managers for General Excellence and contributions to the college.

Our most recent award winners were presented at the college Presentation Night in December and we were delighted to congratulate Ryan Borowitz, Harry Mills and Amelie Taylor.
