YEAR 7 BOOK BUYING ACTIVITY

On Friday 6 March, Year 7 students had the opportunity to select books for the school library collection. Benn's Books, a local bookseller visited the school with a wide selection of new books including fiction, non-fiction and graphics novels to choose from. This is a popular event with students and it helps to shape the library collection to the needs and interests of our students.

BOOK OF THE YEAR NOTABLES

Last week, the Children's Book Council of Australia announced the 2020 Notables List. The awards celebrate the contributions to Australian children's literature. This year saw 517 entries, which is a record and very encouraging for Australia's book industry. The library has many of these books in the collection.
