Message from P&F President

Hi Everyone,

The year has flown past so quickly. It feels like last week that we were discussing the direction and importance of the P&F Executive Members for 2018 and here we are looking into 2019. On Tuesday 20th November we sat around the staff room and had our last meeting for the year.

Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported with the P&F events throughout the year, whether it be through counting money, supervising discos, cooking sausages, making cakes, serving scones, selling raffle tickets, helping at stalls, donating to the fete games, helping at the working bee, etc.

A special thank you to the following people and their families who made a commitment to be a part of the Executive Committee for 2019; Sharon Hobson, Veronica Tucker, Jacky Milat, Rebecca Wheelan, Maureen Puopolo, Gina Petterson, Justin Magro,  Brendan and Bridget Halloran.

My role as president has been rewarding and tasks were achievable knowing I had the support of these members, along with the ongoing support of Darren Gibbons and the Queen of Peace staff.  As the President of the Parents and Friends Association I have taken great pride in being a positive role model for my children. I know that they appreciate the hours of involvement that I have undertaken in the school over the 5 years, but in particular in 2017 as the Fundraising Co-ordinator and this current year as President. I hope that they continue to look at people's roles in our community and build on that awareness and appreciation for others. I’d especially like to thank my children and my husband, David, for all their support, time and patience during this time.

I’d also like to thank those of you who have taken on the roles for next year and look forward to what 2019 holds for our school community. If anyone is interested in joining the executive committee please express interest via pandf@qopaltonameadows.catholic.edu.au
