Facilitating engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, students learn vital skills for the future through designing, building and testing an original video game. This is not tied to any particular programming language and in 2022 the theme is NETWORKS.

Genius Armoury is a FREE virtual experience course developed for autistic individuals. It comprises five modules which will give you an introductory level of understanding of the current state of cybersecurity, the roles within it, the different types of threat actors and how they aim to compromise systems, as well as some of the key fundamentals such as computer languages.
In this self-paced program you will get to explore:
- the basic components of the related technologies;
- an overview of the current cyber crime landscape;
- cyber attack methods commonly utilised;
- potential career pathways in cybersecurity; and
- case studies of historical cyber attacks.
Each module is accompanied with knowledge checks in the form of multiple-choice quizzes, content-relevant tasks, or a combination of both, and will take 6-8 hours depending upon ability and level of interest.
Completion of the Genius Armoury modules enables students who are interested to engage in the Genius Armoury platform information about education and employment options that participants may choose to pursue. Our further education partners include La Trobe University, Box Hill Institute, Victoria University, Academies Australia Polytechnic, Swinburne University and Deakin University.
All students that complete the course will receive a completion certificate that can be included on their CV.
