LEADING TEACHER'S REPORT
Shirley Mangiameli
It is that time of the year when teachers have spent many hours writing student mid-year reports. All families will receive their child’s report in the last week of Term 2, with Student Led Conferences following on 23rd June. During these conferences your child will have the opportunity to showcase their learning and samples of work they are proud of.
Be prepared to be impressed!
Classroom teachers have used a variety of assessments they have collated for each child throughout the year, to provide you with an accurate reflection of where your child is performing, in relation to expected outcomes for their age group. The report outlines their achievements in Maths and English and recommendations for their future learning. Specialist teachers have included an outline of the learning activities conducted over the semester accompanied by the student’s achievements in some of the tasks in the form of “I can….” statements.
Demonstration of Echuca East’s PAL values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience as well as their work habits in all the curriculum areas, outlining your child’s effort and class behaviour, are an integral part of the report.
Student reports will be published through the Sentral Parent Portal App on Monday 20th June 2022. Please open the report and read through together with your child before the Student Led Conferences on Thursday 23rd June.
Remember to book a time on the Parent Portal.
During this conference you will have the opportunity to discuss anything further together with the classroom teacher and your child.
Attendance data is also included in the report. It is worth a look to be mindful of an attendance rate below 90 % reminds us all to “Take Care" as your child will be missing up to 20 days each year making it very difficult for them to achieve their best. An attendance rate below 80% means they are "AT RISK - Immediate Action Needed" as students are missing so much time from school it will be almost impossible for them to keep in touch with lessons or with work. Congratulations to students that are attending on or above 95% of the time, they have a real opportunity for continuing their further education and in the world of work.
Every Day Counts.
“Together we can achieve more.”
Note: If you wish to print the report from your device – open with Adobe Reader or similar. Printing from “Preview” does not enable the tick to appear in the correct position on the Attendance table.
