Hello everyone – congratulations on making it through to the end of this cracker of a term. Lots of “firsts” since the pandemic began and lots of “getting back to normal” – which certainly takes on a different meaning for each of us.

In my 18 years of social work across education, homelessness, psychiatric disability, parenting, family violence and poverty – LONELINESS is the common link. We can live with other people and be lonely. We can go for a whole day without connection. I invite you to think about what connection means to you. Is it: hugs, talking, sharing a meal, telling a joke?
