Reports

Our teaching teams, tutors and integration aides have been working hard on reviewing student goals and our comprehensive school reports will be available on Compass in the second week of Term 2. A Compass newsfeed will let you know when yours is available and give instructions for downloading it. These reports are part of our year round reporting process, together with the Term 1 and 3 Parent Teacher Interviews, and the end of year report.

One aspect of reporting that we are committed to, is our belief that there will be no 'big surprises'. Communication between home and school should be year round, open and optimistic. Teachers are available by phone or email if you are unable to visit school so please don't hesitate to reach out when needed.

Mr. McClare and I have been reading reports as they are being written and we are both extraordinarily proud of the progress that students have made this semester both academically and socially. I hope that you will take the time to celebrate your child's achievements, as well as reflect upon their next goals.

MS Readathon

Mrs. Mandy Boulton and Mrs. Bron Draffin are this year's coordinators of our MS Readathon efforts. We can't wait to see what our Kalinda kids can achieve with their amazing reading! Please see a message from Mrs. Boulton and Mrs. Draffin below:

Dear parents, carers, and students,

This year, our community at our school is embarking on an incredible adventure. An adventure full of drama, mystery, magic… and generosity!

That’s right! This year, we’re doing the MS Readathon as a school community. It’s a one-month reading challenge, where the rules are simple. Read whatever you like, as much as you can, throughout the month of August.

Each student can set up and personalise their very own fundraising pages, and while on their reading adventure you’ll have the opportunity to guide them through the other kind of journey – fundraising for those in need.

All donations go towards helping Australians with MS and other neurological conditions, and that’s the main reason we’ve decided to take the MS Readathon on together as a community.

You may have fond memories of the MS Readathon yourself, and we’re delighted to continue in this amazing, long-lasting legacy.

NEW - Kalinda Beanies

This recent frosty weather has made us extra grateful that RHS has just released a new Kalinda Primary School beanie! This is an optional item of uniform for wearing outside in the yard or to and from school.

Take care Kalinda, you mean a lot to me.

We are kind. We are resilient. We are respectful.
