NEWSLETTER TERM 2 SPORTS REPORT

Inter School Sport 

This term the Grade 6s and some Grade 5s played Winter Sports with the Girls Netball and Tennis going through the season undefeated. Congratulations to the Girls Netball team and their parent coach, Lyn Whitaker won our District play-off against Antonio Park last Friday and go onto Division finals next Term. Thank-you to all the teachers, support staff, student teachers and parents for all their help in coaching this term.

Dugdale Cup

The Grade Five children have been involved in trying out sports to prepare them for next year’s Inter School Sport over the last two terms. Each week mixed teams have represented their House in games against other Houses each Friday morning. The winner of the Dugdale Cup this year is Melba.

Cross Country

This term sixty children represented the school at the District Cross Country.

Of the seven children that qualified to represent our school at the Division Cross Country, congratulations to Fraser G and Dougie H who made it through to the Regional Cross Country event held at Yarra Glen last week.

Grade 3-6 House Athletics Carnival

Just a reminder that the House Athletics Carnival for Grades Three to Six, will take place early next Term on Tuesday 26th July at Bill Sewart Athletics Track in Burwood East. Any parents who are able to assist as helpers to supervise groups on this day would be greatly appreciated.
