During the last PFA meeting, we were able to fill the one open role for Entertainment Book Fundraising. Pavitra Atre has kindly offered to help us. Many thanks Pavitra.

Nossal's PFA runs on funds collected through donations from the uniform shop, Bunnings BBQs and through various events organized like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day etc. The funds are used for number of good causes that help the school, teachers, students, and the community. Based on the discussions at the last PFA meetings, we are happy to announce that we are able to contribute funds towards the following projects for 2022.
- Outdoor furniture and shading are proposed and has been accepted. PFA will contribute ~ $9,500 towards the furniture.
- Sir Gustav Nossal Statue - $5,000 towards the statue.
- The Students at the School have put a proposal for a mural that will go on the shed wall at the back of the school. PFA will donate ~ $5,000 and this will be finalized once a quotation is put forward.
If you have any other projects that you would like to discuss, please feel free to bring to the PFA meeting and we are more than happy to discuss.

This Term we had the Mother’s Day stall. Huge thanks to all our PFA Volunteers for their support.
Upcoming Events:
IRC Book Sale
The IRC has removed many titles from the library that there are more copies of than needed. The revenue derived from the book sale will go towards purchasing new resources for the Information Resource Centre.
- we will be selling books from 1-2pm on 15 and 22 June, outside the Food Tech room
- books will be $1 or $2, and we will do $5 or $10 deals if multiple books are purchased
- All the Books on sale are in excellent condition
- sales will be cash only (please bring gold coins or small notes)
Bunnings BBQ
If you’re not already aware of this, the PFA are running our annual Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 23 July. If you wish to volunteer to help out on the day, we would love to hear from you. Please use the link below to Volunteer or donate for the day. If the spots when you are available to assist have been taken you can contribute by donating towards the running of the BBQ. There is a list attached on what the team needs for the day. We also take donations thru bank transfer or Coles Gift Card and all the proceedings will go to the PFA funds. Members who have not completed their registration form will be presumed to no longer wish to be a PFA member. If you do not register right now, you can always register later to join the PFA. We appreciate all contributions from our amazing parents and friends. We would welcome both the new and the established parents to be part of the team. Feel free to reach out for a chat!

Lastly, what would you like to tell about the new parents about joining the PFA.
My wife Rosaline and I have been members since our son Joshua started at Nossal 8 years ago. We joined the PFA because we wanted to get a better understanding of how Nossal worked and to be involved with our sons school and make a contribution. Of course, my favourite would have to be the Bunnings BBQ. It is loads of fun and I'm a control freak. What I like about the PFA, and the friendships Rose and I have developed. I suppose that improving communications between new parents and the established ones. Join up, don't be scared, you only do what you can do, and no Larry doesn't bite.
Uniform Shop
Students and parents are again reminded that the Secondhand Uniform Shop is open on the first Monday of each month, during school terms. The shop is located at the rear of northern (Jean Russell Centre) carpark, inside the front door of the Fitness Centre. The shop opens between 8.30am and 9.30am with all proceeds going to projects and equipment for the school. The shop will next open on Monday 11 July, the first day of Term 3. Donations of uniform are very welcome and can be left at Reception.
