Table Tennis
Thursday 16 June 2022 was a very memorable day to say the least! After 2 years of interschool sport being cancelled due to lockdown, it felt great to finally play Interschool Table Tennis. The senior girls warmed up with my personal favourite game, around the world, which is when the first player serves and the second player returns the serve. Then both players set down their bats and run counter-clockwise for the next pair to do the same.
Our games were all competitive, with no one wanting to lose, especially during doubles, where there was a huge amount of cheering and in some instances, players diving desperately to get to the ball in time. It was a supportive environment, with all schools being sporty and even cheering the opponent on for any good shots that were made, something which you do not see often in Interschool Sports. Congratulations to all of the teams that played; it was so great to see people laughing and smiling and lots of skilled (lucky) shots!
All in all, it's safe to say that everyone had a blast, with Nossal making a clean sweep at the competition and moving onto regionals in all 4 categories. A big thank you to Mr Armistead who meticulously organised tryouts and training sessions, as well as Ms Warriner and Ms Laing who accompanied us on the day, cheering us on.
Go Nossal!
