Farewells

Last week, we said farewell to Meegan Blackney, our Learning & Teaching Leader, who has worked tirelessly at our school to ensure the students receive their entitlement and achieve their potential in the best possible way. She has occupied many roles in her time at St Therese's and she has been the driving force leading and guiding teachers with curriculum knowledge and data.

We wish her all the best in her new role as Deputy Principal at St Macartan's in Mornington.

We continued our farewells last week, saying goodbye to Debbie, the school crossing supervisor, who has been a constant smiling face at our school crossing on Endeavour Drive for over 33 years!!! Debbie's children attended St Therese many years ago and it is the children of our school that she continued to take of, overseeing them using the school crossing many years later.

After speaking with Debbie, she has shown her authentic love for her job and care for our students. Debbie attended a school assembly on her last day of work, grateful and overwhelmed with the attention and well wishes from our staff, students ad their families.

We wish Debbie all the best in her retirement.

Last, but by no means least, we say a big farewell to our principal Michelle Bruitzman at the end of this week. I would like to take this opportunity in thanking Michelle for the enormous impact she has made to the St Therese's Community over the past four years.

She has been instrumental in leading the school community and both staff and students, on a journey of fulfillment whereby school culture, development and cohesion has been her driving force.

She leaves a visible legacy at St Therese's through her tireless work with the celebrated building projects that have added contemporary significance and purpose to our school along with many other initiatives that will benefit the community moving forward. 

We wish her every success at our sister school down the road, St Agatha's, and hope to work closely with her in the future.
