Principal's Patch

Hello Parents and Caregivers

It is hard to believe we are now officially halfway through the school year; our first semester has definitely flown by! I would like to thank the Palm Beach SS community for your continued support of our school during semester one, we are very much looking forward to continuing to work with you in semester two.

Report Cards

Report cards will be e-mailed home this Thursday (23 June). Congratulations to all students on their effort and academic results this semester. I know all students have tried extremely hard and should be proud of their results. Parent/teacher interviews will be conducted next term (week 3) on Tuesday 26th July. More information about these will be sent home shortly.

Lind Avenue Gate

With our new building getting closer to completion, from the beginning of next term, the school entry gate on Lind Avenue will be open for use by students and parents.

Kiss n Go

Student safety is our number one priority at Palm Beach SS. To assist us in keeping our students safe, please remember to remain in your car at Kiss n Go. Also, it is important to make sure you drive to the front of the line before your children get into the car so students are not walking beside moving vehicles. This also helps reduce the number of cars banked up on 19th Avenue. Your assistance with this is much appreciated.

Daytime Discos

Last week we had another successful day of discos. There was much excitement around the school and all student had an amazing time and a lot of fun. Thank-you to our P&C for making these discos possible to raise money for our school and a huge thanks to PCYC for their support in running this event.

Playgrounds

Please remember that all playgrounds are out of bounds before and after school. Even with parental supervision, students and their siblings are not permitted to play on this equipment. This is again to ensure the safety of students on our school grounds.

Interschool Sport

Congratulations to all of our school sporting teams who have represented our school superbly this term. I have had many reports of our students displaying outstanding behaviour and sportsmanship while representing our school. I had the pleasure of being able to watch our Rugby League team compete last Friday and although they were beaten, I was blown away by the grit and determination they displayed all the way until the final whistle, well done boys! Thank-you to the coaches who volunteer to take sporting teams so our kids have these opportunities.

Payment Window

Our payment window will only be open for EFTPOS payments Monday to Friday from 8:00am until 11:30am.

I look forward to seeing everyone back in Term 3!

Kind Regards

Scott
