ENGLISH
During Term Four our students have been very busy producing either a Year Five Gift book or a Year Six Reflections book. Both of these books have included Informative, Imaginative and Persuasive written texts. They have followed the writing process of: Plan, Draft, Edit, Conference and Publish.
The students completed the following Information Reports:
Year Five | Year Six |
---|---|
Favourite Holiday | Foundation |
Animal | Year 1/2 |
Country | Year 3/4 |
Hobby / Sport | Year 5/6 |
For the Imaginative written texts, students had many options to chose from. They worked through the attached rubric and it was obvious with the work completed they had a little bit of fun.
For the final writing piece, each student had to chose one of the following topics to develop a persuasive opinion:
- Children should do chores around the house?
- Is it important for children to do homework every night?
- Being famous would be the best thing.
- Children should get fruit for free at school.
- It is important for children to play outside.
Here are a few photos showcasing the completed pieces of writing.
