The Ripple Effect is a documentary produced by St Kilda Football Club in partnership with Dickson Films and VicHealth and led by St Kilda Indigenous Liaison Officer Nathan Lovett-Murray, the documentary delves into racism in Australia through the eyes of the nation’s most prominent and inspiring athletes of colour.

The Ripple Effect primarily centres around St Kilda legend and proud Noongar Nicky Winmar'sgeneration-defining stand against racism at Victoria Park in 1993, and features interviews with Lovett-Murray, Ben Long, Nova Peris, Josh Addo-Carr, Otis Hope Carey, Akec Makur Chuot, Bachar Houli and more.

“It’s a story that needs to be told,” Winmar said.

Nathan Lovett Murray also visited the Koorie students, coming into EMC an hour early to spend some of his own time yarning with them.  We are incredibly thankful for his generosity in doing this, and the kids were told some great stories and given meaningful advice.  It was our first yarn in the new EMC Meeting Place!
