PBS Update

We have been successfully rolling out our PBS lesson plans this Term.  Positive Behaviour Support or PBS focuses on our CARE values. Every week we will be learning a positive behaviour which should be demonstrated within our school.

The CARE poster is displayed in every classroom and around the school to ensure everyone is aware of our expectations as a school.

We had a Whole School Reward last Wednesday as the students reached the required limits for all 4 CARE values with the relevant sheep tags.  The students were treated to a Bouncy Castle set up on the lawn area and they all enjoyed some time on that as well as an icy pole to cool off afterwards.  We would like to thank The Shire of Mukinbudin for the collection, set up and drop off of the Bouncy Castle.

Buddy the 'Christmas' Sheep visited the Pre-Primary to hand out farewell gifts to the Pre-Primary students on Tuesday.  What a lovely surprise for these soon to be Year One students!

Sheep tags will be awarded in the four CARE colours as part of the whole-school reward system. These tags will be placed into the four rain gauges near the office, with the aim of reaching the marked line in each gauge to earn 10 minutes of extra lunch play for the whole school.

Students will also be able to earn individual rewards by collecting ‘Positive Behaviour Points’. Each day students will receive one point for attending school on time and a second point for wearing their school uniform.

Bonus points will be awarded by staff in class and in the playground for demonstrating our PBS values and being a great school citizen. Students commenced the trial with 50 points. Any student who reaches 100 points by the end of the term will be included in a Positive Behaviour Reward in Week 10 and receive a Positive Behaviour Certificate.

Please refer to the Connect and Facebook post with the Behaviour Management Policies for further details.
