CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISERS

CHRISTMAS TARTS

Murrumbeena Primary School has teamed up with Bakers Delight in Chadstone to run a Christmas tart fundraiser. 

There is an option to buy either lemon or mince tarts and the school will receive $2 from every 6 pack sold. Please order by Wednesday December 1 and the tarts will be delivered on Monday 13 December. 

In a year in which COVID has affected the schools ability to fundraise, we encourage every man, woman and child to play their part and eat as many tarts as they can manage. 

On a serious note; it would be great to see the school community get behind this event.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE KIT

Murrumbeena Primary School has also teamed up with Three Little Bakers to purchase ready to decorate gingerbread houses. 

The houses comes as plain gingerbread with the walls already in place.  A tree and roof need to be attached and then it is ready for the finishing touches.

Please order by Thursday 2 December and orders will be delivered to the school on Tuesday 14 December.

What a great way to create a festive delight to enjoy with family and friends!

GLEN EIRA LIBRARY EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

Did you know the Glen Eira Library website has a fabulous range of education resources. 

Access to these programs usually requires a subscription, but as a library member you can use your membership details to access them for free.

Including:

Educational activities packaged within a captivating, gamified environment. Learning comes naturally when students want to be involved and are supported in their academic achievement through reward and recognition.

Stories being read aloud  to get kids excited about reading, inspire their imaginations and let them have fun with stories, improving their language and literacy skills along the way.

An e library collection with content most appropriate for those in grades K-6. It includes animated talking picture books, chapter books, videos, non-fiction titles, graphic novels, playlists, and books in French and Spanish. 

BOOK CLUB REMINDER

Issue 7 is out now and all students should have received the catalogue by now. 

Inside you will find some beautiful Christmas books that would make great Christmas gift ideas. 

There is also the first 10 books of the very popular Wings Of Fire Series for sale for $85 normally valued at $120. Or the popular Twisted Tales: Enchanted Collection for $85 normally $110. 

Children learn so much from reading and Book Club makes it easy to purchase books at any price, as they also have popular books like The Babysitters Club and Minecraft books for $4 - $5 each.   

All payments must be made online only and orders need to be finalised not later than Friday 19 November.
