Student Excellence

HIGH ABILITY AT MURRUMBEENA PRIMARY SCHOOL 

At Murrumbeena Primary School, we have the motto ‘Excellence Through Endeavour’. Students at MPS, across all grades and levels, achieve greatness both inside and outside of the classroom. 

There are a range of students who are highly able and achieving wonderful results and developing skills well beyond expectations. The teachers and support staff at MPS ensure they provide rich and engaging learning experiences that help students foster their skills and ability. 

Student excellence is always at the forefront of teachers' minds ensuring that students can develop the qualities and skills that allow them to be outstanding across all areas of the curriculum. 

We would like to acknowledge the students in Grade 5 and 6 who have been participating in the Victorian High Ability Program in 2021. TERM 1- Vincent G (6M), Aaron Q (6C), Kadek (Nicholas) S (6C) 

TERM 3- Sasha B (6M), Anya D (6C), Krish H (5A), Felix K (5P), Emma M (6M), Ridhi P (6D), Rowen P(5C), Lily- Rose R (6M), Alyssa L (6M), Qinggeerhuhe W (6D), Mia S (6C), Kier A- H(5A), Rishan B (5A), Jacob W(5P) and Monako B (6D). 

TERM 4- Eve K (5C), Sophie M (5A), Skye- Bella T (5P), Anish Di (6M), Jeremy K (6D, Aarush P(6M), Bimal S (6M), Mia S (6C), Shruthi S(6D) 

The program is designed for students who have demonstrated ability in English and Mathematics through the NAPLAN results and performance in these subjects at school. 

The programs focus on extending and developing the children’s abilities in these areas. 

The extension course runs for one school term, where the children meet other peers and neighbouring schools for weekly virtual lessons run by expert educators. 

This is just one of the opportunities students have within the school to display our school motto and be provided with opportunities to be challenged and learn. 

The school community is very proud of these students for representing MPS at the Victorian High Ability Program across English and Mathematics.
