Deputy Principal Update

Book Fair

The Scholastic BOOK FAIR will take place from Monday 29th November to Thursday 2nd December. All students will visit the Learning Centre/Book Fair on Monday to see the wonderful array of books and trinkets that are available. Students may bring home a 'Wish List' that has books your child is interested in.  It will be a great chance to get those last minute Christmas gifts.  Parents  will be able to visit the Book Fair  if needed on Tuesday 30th November and Thursday 1st December 2.30-4.00. Proof of double vaccination will need to be shown before entering the school grounds. Credit card facilities will be available. The Book Fair will be held in the Learning Centre.

Sending our Best Wishes

We send our thoughts and prayers to Vishav (Foundation Levesque) and his parents Dharampal and Ramendeep on the sudden loss of their father/grandfather in India. We are thinking of you at this difficult time.

Library Books Return

It's that time of the year where we start to ask students to return all library books. This time last year we had over 500 books out on loan and it took many many weeks to get these books back.

Students are no longer able to borrow books from the library so that we can begin our return and audit process. Could you please have a good look at home for any books that need to be returned to school.

Secondhand Books Welcomed

During our lockdown times it was a perfect opportunity to have a little declutter at home. If you have any books that your children have grown out of, or no longer read, the school is always looking for extra books to fill the classroom libraries. These books can be left at the office or given to myself to stamp and distribute to the classrooms.

Uniforms

A  number of students are coming to the office looking for lost jumpers and jackets. Could everyone please check their children's clothing to make sure they haven't accidentally picked up another child's uniform.  Please ensure that all uniform is clearly labelled, especially now with the warmer weather approaching. A reminder that hats are required during Term Four.

ICAS

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the ICAS tests that have taken place over the last few weeks. It is a fantastic effort to complete these. We will share the wonderful results when we receive them.

A message from the Bus company

Please be aware that students travelling to and/or from school on the buses must either have a bus pass or pay to use this service. Any students who do not will be asked to hop off the bus. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the appropriate bus company.

Advent

Next Monday the students will share in a small Advent liturgy outside on the grass before lunch. It's a wonderful opportunity  to prepare for the magical time and true meaning of Christmas.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Take care and stay safe,

Maree :)
