Having schools work remotely was a great disappointment for the Year 7s. What can you do remotely when you’re working with tools and materials? We can cover the theoretical components of the subject, but that’s not what the students like about Product Design, they are fascinated about learning to use the hand tools, machinery and making. 

Once they were back in the workshops they jumped straight in, as I stood back and watched them I cannot help smile and think that look like Santa’s little helpers rushing for the Xmas deadline!
