Parents' Assocation (PA)

Dear School Community,

It was great to welcome all Foundation students and parents that are joining Syndal South Primary School next year! We briefly met at the Meet, Mingle & Nibble Night before the transition day, and if you would like to know more about the Parents' Association please click on this link - Information Kit. We hope you enjoy your 7 years of learning journey at our school.

The Parents Association Annual General Meeting was held on the 25th November via Webex and here is the President’s Report for 2020-2021. 

It was a great pleasure to work with the PA Committee and all parent volunteers in 2021 and we look forward to re-connecting with the school community in 2022. 

First of all, I would like to thank Lisa (as a Member in 2021 and a previous President) for your contribution and dedication to Syndal and the PA for so many years. I wish you and Tommy the best and enjoy your upcoming high school journey. Thank you Ruwani as PA Secretary for the past 3 years. You were always there for us,and I really appreciated your support and love. Thank you Kunal for your support as Vice President, it is always fun to work with you and I appreciated your energy and honesty. Thank you all for your contributions to the PA and Syndal. I'm sure we will continue to work together in the future.

Welcome to our new members Shashikala and Sayanti. You may be new to our school but you both are already volunteering with the Helping Hands Program! Thank you very much. Thank you Hye Jung and Sajila for taking up a role as an Office Bearer for 2022.  A big thank you for the continued support to PA: Kate as PA Treasurer and a mentor in our team for many years and our PA Committee Members: Wendy, Elaine, Ruwani and Sisi for always being there to help and support, and our school team: Helen, Rebecca, Michelle and Julie for guiding and embracing parents to participate in our children's learning journey. 

The next PA Meetup will be on 23rd February 2022 (Wednesday) at 6:30pm via Webex. We will share the meeting information in our newsletter early next year! Again, you don’t need to be a PA Committee Member in order to volunteer at Syndal. There are so many volunteer opportunities in our school like reading to the class, walking kids to swimming and helping at our working bees, etc. and PA events are part of the functions to build a strong school community.
