From the Senior School Sports Master
Many thanks to you all for the support you have given the College over the past few weeks as we re-boot Sport for your sons. This week sees our final round of Sport for the term with the long-awaited return of external competition in the form of St Augustine's College.
Please familiarise yourselves with the draw for Basketball found below. Your son may be playing at either NBISC, Warriewood or at Oxford Falls.
Our ISA Cricket triallists will be playing at Chaplin Oval.
The NSTA Tennis players have a doubles round at Talis Street.
Our Squash players will be playing in a Singles Tournament at Thornleigh.

As this weekend involves outside competition could I please ask that you ensure your sons have the correct uniform for their sport. Basketballers will require a Pius Blue and Gold numbered basketball singlet and shorts for all games.
COVID protocols for the weekend at Oxford Falls have not changed and are attached below. St Augustine's Protocols for NBISC are also attached.

Winter Sports Photos - Ordering
As photos have been delayed this year due to COVID Melba have organised a new ordering system for the Winter Sport photos. You will need to order online with the following instructions:

Once ordered, the photos will be posted to your nominated address. The postage is capped at no more than $3.50 for A4 size photos.
If you have ordered Performing Arts and Other Group photos from Term 2 via an Order Form, these are currently being processed. Year Group/Individual photos are also currently being processed. If you missed ordering any photos throughout the year, all Co-curricular photos will be available to purchase. The Year 12 Graduation photos are also available.

Senior Swimming
This Friday evening 26 November, the Pius Senior Swimming squad will be competing at the St Patrick's College Invitational Carnival at the Ryde Aquatic Centre. All swimmers must attend wearing the school swimming cap. Pius Swimming shirts are available at the Uniform Shop for purchase. Entry into the pool is at 6.55 pm with the first event starting at 7.15 pm. The Events list is on the Student Noticeboard. Could all swimmers please check what Events they are in before Friday.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, NO spectators may attend the St Patrick’s College Swimming Invitational due to venue restrictions of a maximum capacity of 250 people in the stands.
All competitors and coaching staff who are aged 16 years and over must be fully vaccinated or have a medical contraindication certificate. Unvaccinated students 15 years and under may attend and participate. Competitors and coaching staff who are 16 years and over will be required to register their attendance by scanning a QR Code and provide proof of vaccination or medical exemption upon arrival.

All training is at Oxford Falls.
Players are to be attired in PE uniform or ISA uniform.
Bus transport departs form in front of OLD Church at 3:20 pm and returns to Anderson Street.

Our final training will on this Wednesday afternoon in preparation for the NSW Squash Junior Tournament on Saturday 27 November. Match times to be advised from 8.00 am at Thornleigh Squash.

Basketball
This week sees us take on St Augustine’s, home and away. Please ensure all players are correctly attired in SPX gear only. Good luck to all players in our first ‘real’ game.
Training: After school training will continue next week for Yrs 7 - 9, concluding on Wednesday 1 December. NB. Year 10 will not train on Thursday 2 December as the courts are unavailable.
For Oxford Falls sessions boys will be bussed to and from the venue. The buses should return to Chatswood around 5.30 pm.
Development sessions (Dev.): These are optional ‘extra’ sessions open to all players, though with a higher-level skill focus. They are run by Danny Garrett our 1st V coach and take place 1 morning and 2 afternoons per week at Chatswood Campus.
Fixtures: Please arrive 20 mins prior to tip off to allow for uniform organisation and warm-up.

1st and 2nd V Basketball v Barker College: We have organised fixtures for our top 2 teams on Thursday 2nd December from 4.30 pm at Oxford Falls. Further info will be communicated with the players directly.
