Art Extravaganza

Hi Families,

On Friday 12th November, West Beach Primary School hosted the Art Extravaganza to showcase a taste of what the students created this year, they showed pieces from units of work such as self-portraits, still life, directed drawing, Aboriginal inspired pieces. They also showed more specific works concentrating on the elements of Art such as line, shape, colour, texture, and so on.

Students also submitted artwork they made from home to showcase their skills. Stickers were given out by families, teachers and leadership on their favourite pieces.

The turn-out was amazing. Students beamed with pride as they showed their loved ones what they had created.

The quality of work from the students this year was amazing and has blown me (and everyone) away. Students should be proud of themselves for their achievements and attitude to a brand-new specialist subject this year – I know I am.

In-case you couldn’t come or you’d just like to remember back, here are some photos of the night.
