WHAT IF YOUR ATAR IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH? WHAT’S YOUR BACK-UP PLAN?

VTAC CHANGE OF PREFERENCE DATE 4pm 18 December 2019.

First, just wait and see - do not remove any courses from VTAC, there was space for 8 entries so you may like to add some more options! There are many courses, pathways or options you may wish to consider. You can complete a certificate, diploma or pathway at a TAFE or Tertiary Institution as part of your back-up plan. You may even consider a related university course with a lower ATAR. If you do well during your first year, you may be able to transfer later. Some details are listed below which may help, but check out university websites for more specific details. Do your best to get some training even if it is on-the-job, remember a forced GAP year only puts you in competition with next year’s Year 12 students, but you can up-skill and try again mid-year. Add courses you meet requirements for.
