PERFORMING ARTS

String Quartet at Mother's Day Lunch

On Friday May 17th, Julia Schiavon (Yr 11), Isabel Overhill (Yr 10), Ethan Badcock (Yr 8) and Olivia Lim (Yr 10) performed at the PFA Mothers Day Lunch, held at the Black Rock Yacht Club. The quartet, lead by Miss Georgie MacLucus, played a 30 minute set to 60 deserving Mothers while the sun glistened on the water in the bay. Thank you to the PFA for giving the students this opportunity, and to the students for their beautiful performance.

Stringfest 2019

On Wednesday 22nd May, 10 students learning Cello, Violin and Viola attended StringFest; the Southern Metro Region strings day, where the students played with 7 other schools and were lead by conductor for the State School Spectacular, Nathan Scerri. The students learned 5 pieces and played in a large scale orchestra, which was a humbling and valuable experience for all involved.
