From the Principal's Desk.....

Good afternoon Parents, guardians and students,
Well, here we are half way through November, and another Term is well into the business of the provision of quality educational outcomes. After an extremely busy fortnight, our final Year 12 VCE exam was held today (Monday Nov 18), and Year 12 students now enter the ‘no man’s land’ wait for exams to be marked, and results to be collated, ranked and published. For the record, I would like to congratulate the Year 12 cohort on the way the held themselves during their studies, and, in particular, in the way they finished the year. I wish them all the best as they wait for this final phase of their VCE studies to conclude.
As our Year 12 comes to an end, the other students in our senior school embark on their own exam sessions to conclude their 2019 studies and prepare for new challenges in 2020. Our Year Nine, Ten and Eleven classes prepare for their own exams this week prior to our 2020 VCE Head Start program, which begins on Monday November 25.
Elsewhere in the school, Junior School and Middle School classes have been employed purposefully and creatively, and teachers are working with students and parents towards shared important educational and socially inclusive outcomes.
There is no doubt that we have a great School Community at Cobram AGS, and a fabulous Anglican community here in Cobram. We have a shared and unique kinship that is well worth supporting and developing.
It is also clear that we are experiencing growth in enrolments at the present time. The interest in our School is of course due to the continued excellent work of staff members and families working closely together towards the shared goals of academic excellence and community involvement. It is an exciting time at the School, and as many recent visitors will know, there are a number of building projects and other improvements on the horizon. These will continue throughout this term and over the summer break.
I thank all parents and guardians who have placed their faith in us to again provide excellent quality education opportunities for their children in 2020.
I ask parents and guardians who have any queries regarding school policy or curriculum to take the time to talk to myself or other senior staff, and avail yourself and your families of the real opportunities offered by Cobram AGS.
We are a quality provider of broad educational options in the Cobram district, and the only local education institution catering for the complete education journey from Prep to VCE. The support of the local community is vital for the continued growth of our exciting and vibrant education community.
As always, my door is open.
Kind regards,
Steve Gale
