Peaceful Kids

Peaceful Kids Weekly Links are now being Posted in Google Classroom. Each week, open Google Classroom, click on Classwork, and go to Week 2 (or whatever the week will be) Timetable, Daily Timetable.

Click on Daily Timetable, and scroll down to ‘Let’s Be Peaceful Kids’

Click on Wellbeing Brain Break Tasks, then Peaceful Kids - Home Learning Pack, Weekly Link.

Please encourage your child to use the activities in the Peaceful Kids Home Learning Pack, as well as the Wellbeing & Physical Activity Brain Break Tasks. There are really great activities here, focused on the wellbeing & mindfulness of your child. Mindfulness can help children calm their minds and make the most of their life. It reduces their anxiety and improves concentration, productivity and sleep. Take the time to join in with your children as they participate in these activities, as a lot of these can also benefit us as adults.

Also please find shared with you, in the following link, an article from SchoolTV - What is Mindfulness? Some great reading and practical tips for parents and carers, as we all explore Mindfulness and ways students can apply it through Peaceful Kids Home Learning Wellbeing Activities.

COVID-19 Resources for Parents

The following COVID-19 useful resources (links below) have been developed to provide parents with information to assist them during this difficult time.  Please note the excellent social story that addresses the managed return to school.

2021 Kindergarten Enrolments - DUE NOW

A reminder to our St Ed's families that applications for Kindergarten 2021 are DUE NOW.  Special thanks to our families who have already returned your child's application.  For parents who have not, we ask that you please complete and return your application to the Infants Campus ASAP or make contact with either school office and an enrolment pack can be mailed out.  Enrolment Forms will not be processed until all supporting documents are received: Birth Certificate; Immunisation Certificate; Baptismal Certificate (only required if your child is a baptised Catholic) and proof of student’s residential address. Please spread the word if you know of anyone with a child wishing to start at St Edward's School in Kindergarten in 2021.

Winter Uniform

We wish to advise parents that the official date for changeover from summer to winter uniform is after the June long weekend (Tuesday 9th June).  However as the weather has turned very chilly, we are now allowing students to wear either full winter (including a tie) or full summer uniform during this transition period. The following new school winter items are available for purchase:  jumper ($35), jacket ($70), tie ($25), girls navy knee high socks ($10), girls winter navy tights ($10), scarf ($10).  To help minimise parent contact, our preferred method of purchasing uniform items is via the Qkr! App and your clothing order will be then sent home with your child.

Clothing Pool

During this COVID-19 period we are attempting to limit parent contact as much as possible through our school office.  If you wish to access the clothing pool, please telephone our office staff and they will be more than happy to access the clothing pool on your behalf for uniform items and have them ready for collection in the office.

School Canteen

Due to COVID-19 the Canteen will remain closed until further notice and Mrs Dubois and Mrs Bridge look forward to seeing everyone again when they are given the clearance to reopen.
