Music News
Last Friday 9th of December was the St Simon’s School Christmas Concert. How lucky we were to have such great weather for our special day (after a few days of rain). The students performed amazingly and I’m proud of each and every one of them. They have put in so much effort throughout the term and it showed in the way they presented their song.
Thank you to all the families/ carers that came supporting your child. We even had grandparents join us to watch!
It was so nice to finally be able to host an event where we could all be present after the last couple of years.
Some amazing news from this weekend:
The Knox council hosted the Christmas Carols night on Saturday. Prior to the main event, finalists of the Knox Factor sang their grand final song to a panel of judges and a packed audience.
I am pleased to announce that Samantha Gibbs in 6 Green was the overall winner in her age group (12-15 year olds)! Such an amazing achievement, winning the Knox Factor and we congratulate her on her incredible success.
Samantha will sing her winning song on Friday during assembly.
I would like to thank you all for your support of the music department and wish you and your extended families a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new year.
